DO YOU CHARGE TO DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM TO MY VEHICLE?
Sometimes, customer vehicles have an issue which requires a thorough inspection or vehicle scan in order to diagnose the problem and provide an estimate for repairs. For most issues which can be diagnosed within a few minutes, there is no charge.
However, if the use of a lift is required, a long test drive or a vehicle scan, we charge a diag fee for the time involved. In most cases, if the repair order is approved, this diag fee is waived or credited to the repair if already paid for. This fee is generally for 1 hour of labor in most cases. Some vehicles come in with a variety of issues or require significant tear down to assess the repair(s). In these cases, we start our diag fees at 3 hours and will continue to request approvals for additional time, if necessary.
CAN I RECEIVE A QUOTE FOR A REPAIR BY PHONE OR EMAIL?
Sure. We get that customers want an idea of how much a repair is going to cost. However, any quote provided by email or phone is be based on what you tell us the problem is or what you think the job requires.
Many times, we see vehicles that are misdiagnosed or have many other issues which require addressing or additional time. For this reason, it's best to bring the car in and let us confirm and provide you a proper estimate which we stand behind.
